Dr. Siegel frequently sees new patients who report that their previous lab results are “normal.” However, on closer examination, these “normal” findings are not the same as “optimal.” Unless you look at lab results under an “optimal” template, one cannot determined how far their health has veered away from “optimal.” Another issue many people encounter is the fact that most previous testing they have had done is rarely comprehensive enough to show a truer state of health disruption. Dr. Siegel makes sure comprehensive testing is adequately carried out and more thoroughly interpreted to ensure a fuller understanding of possible underlying health issues. While a person may not have yet progressed to a disease state, certain physiological systems may demonstrate a state of dysfunction. Through proper testing and analysis, Dr. Siegel can recommend appropriate therapies to bring about better biochemical balance and get you feeling better.
INITIAL FUNCTIONAL TOXICOLOGY APPOINTMENT
Dr. Siegel uses what’s referred to as Functional Toxicology to effectively FIND and SAFELY REMOVE toxins that often are important contributors to one’s disrupted health. Testing results provide Dr. Siegel with information needed to create a path of treatment with the use of specific homeopathic remedies. These remedies assist the body’s release and removal of toxic agents, as well as provide support for your most distressed organs and tissues. This approach then unlocks the full power and potential of your body’s self-regulating function to promote and maintain optimum health!
DR. SIEGEL WILL:
1. Complete the Initial Toxicology exam by testing your submitted sample.
2. Review all lab and testing results during your follow-up Virtual Consultation via Doxy.
3. Answer any questions you may have.

AT YOUR VIRTUAL CONSULTATION DR. SIEGEL WILL:
1. Discuss your health concerns & goals.
2. Review your present and past health history.
3. Review any prior labs, treatments and provide discussion.
4. Make initial examination and/or lab testing recommendations. In most cases, Dr. Siegel will order his own lab testing, even if you have had recent lab work done. This is due to the fact that the majority of traditional testing done for chronic health issues remains inadequate and incomplete. It also allows him to establish his own baseline.
5. Give his recommendation as to which treatment plan best fits your case.
6. Answer any questions you have.
AFTER THE VIRTUAL NEW PATIENT CONSULTATION
A MEMBER OF OUR WELLNESS TEAM WILL:
1. Send an invoice to collect the appropriate fees. If Lab work is being ordered, form(s) and instructions will be emailed to you. Test kits (if applicable) will be shipped directly to you.
2. Provide a breakdown of our distance testing procedure, costs & financing options (if applicable) for the treatment plan that has been recommended.
FOLLOWING YOUR NEW PATIENT CONSULTATION
1. Collection supplies will be mailed to you. Closely follow the Distance Testing Procedures to ensure you submit your sample correctly.
2. Within a couple of days from receiving your Lab requisition, go to your nearest LabCorp for your blood draw (if applicable). Complete home test kits (if applicable). Lab results can take up to 2 weeks, so timing is important.
3. Once we receive your urine sample, we will put you on the schedule for testing.

4. When we receive your bloodwork and your toxicology testing is completed, we will call to schedule your next virtual consultation with Dr. Siegel to review your initial exam and discuss all lab test findings (if applicable).
5. We will mail your protocol, instructions and supplies for your next sample submission. A copy of your lab work will be uploaded to your Jane client portal. Please do not start your protocol if it arrives before your Virtual Initial Exam and Report of Findings Consultation. Dr. Siegel will go over everything with you in great detail at this appointment.
VIRTUAL INITIAL EXAM & REPORT OF FINDINGS CONSULTATION
AT YOUR VIRTUAL CONSULTATION VIA DOXY, DR. SIEGEL WILL:
1. Review the results of your Initial Toxicology exam.
2. Review all lab and testing results (if applicable).
3. Answer any questions you may have.

1. For those who commit to care, a member of the Wellness Team will send a link to our Virtual Practice Agreement through your Jane patient portal. Fill out and submit this Virtual Practice Agreement upon receipt.
2. Distance Testing adheres to a predetermined schedule and is processed for two weeks in a row, every 6 weeks. It is the patient’s responsibility to review the predetermined schedule and only send samples according to the submission schedule: www.biohealthohio.com/schedule
3. Distance Testing is limited to 10 patients per testing day. Patients must secure their spot by scheduling their test via their Jane patient portal/online scheduler. If you need help accessing your Jane account to schedule, please contact us. Patients are able to secure future testing spots in advance to guarantee processing.
4. There are SPECIFIC DEADLINES outlined on the calendar as to when distance testing boxes must arrive, which is days before the actual testing takes place. If we do not receive your box by the deadline, it will be moved to our next testing date if there is an opening. You may then be required to send in a new, fresh sample in order to get yours processed on our next test date. For this reason, we will be including an extra 1-2 small urine collection cups (the one you send into the office) in case you have to send in a new sample. Please be aware of delayed shipping times and always send your box with more than enough overlap of time in case it gets delayed. We are unable to process any boxes that arrive after the deadline.
Your box should contain:
• Your complete set of vials protected in bubble wrap in a baggie with your name on it. If your vials are not included, we will charge $21.50 to replace your set.
• Your urine sample in the small sample cup in a separate baggie with your name on it. For the safety of staff handling your sample, cups that are not submitted in a baggie will not be tested,
• If alternate shipping directions are needed because you are traveling, please be sure to provide the address in your patient update email.
5. Upon receiving your box, staff will process the following:
• Your credit card on file will be charged
• The shipping label and return shipping label will be created. Please note, this is not the day your package ships. Your package will ship upon completion, which could take a few days.
• We will verify that you have submitted your Patient Update email: distancetesting@biohealthohio.com – Your sample will not be tested without an Update.
• Once all of the items are completed, your sample is in line to be tested.

6. Once testing is complete, you will receive the following:
• Your Homeopathic protocol (must be completed within 7 days)
• A sample cup to submit your next urine sample for testing
• A return shipping label
• An audio recording of your findings. It may take up to 1 week for your recording to arrive. A virtual consultation is not scheduled with each Distance Test.
